VIRTUAL/REMOTE LEARNING
Best practices for virtual/remote learning
- Establish a routine
- Wake up and go to bed at the same time every day
- Get dressed for school and don't stay in your pajamas
- Set a daily schedule
- Allow time in your schedule for school, free time, physical activity and lunch
- Set an alarm for mini-breaks
- Have an area dedicated for school
- Utilize a space in your home specifically for school work
- Stay organized in that area with the necessary supplies for school (pens, pencils, notebooks, planner etc.)
- Communicate with your teachers and parents
- Use appropriate language with teachers, school staff and classmates (no texting language)
- Ask questions if you don't understand the content, details of the virtual classroom, expectations and anything else may seem unclear
- Check your school email on a regular basis and respond accordingly
- There is no such thing as asking too many questions or communicating too much with a teacher or staff member
- Check progress/grades
