Course Description
Earth Science will be a combination of Astronomy (study of space), Geology (study of Earth), and Meteorology (study of weather and climate). As a part of Earth science, students will learn about Earth's history in the universe, Earth's systems, and Earth and human activity. This class emphasizes the use of evidence to construct explanations about the processes and systems that have operated over geological time. The evidence that will be taught may include the study of earthquakes and volcanoes, plate tectonics, erosion, minerals and rocks, weather, and extraterrestrial objects.
